To participate now is to count later.
That is our firm belief.
Participating in activities at school and having an enjoyable hobby in your free time: essential for a child's development. Having fun, discovering talents and developing self-confidence. Every child is entitled to that.
Not having the opportunity to participate in social life at a young age has far-reaching consequences. On the young life and well-being of the child now and in the long term.
If children cannot participate, they are excluded. In the long run, this can lead to feelings of loneliness, health problems, lower school performance and therefore fewer opportunities for the future.Lack of financial resources is one cause.
As Stichting Leergeld Parkstad we ensure that all children can participate.
Parents or guardians in Beekdaelen, Brunssum, Heerlen, Kerkrade, Landgraaf, Simpelveld or Voerendaal who do not have enough money to allow their child(ren) to participate in school or leisure activities can count on our support.
We support in 4 areas
Education
All children should be able to participate in school. At Leergeld, they can apply for the School Tools Pass. For children participating in high school, it is also possible to apply for a laptop.
Sports
Participating with peers. Working together, collecting and growing. Sports provides. JFCS pays dues to the club and pays for sports clothing and shoes.
Welfare
Sometimes things seem so obvious, but are of great importance to a child's development. Think about a bicycle, scouting, children's holiday work or a playground subscription
Culture
Musical or creative talent needs to be developed. Drama or music lessons, dance lessons or a film course. JFCS pays dues and tuition, clothing and shoes, and the rental of a musical instrument.

For each other
We perform this work for the municipalities of Beekdaelen, Brunssum, Heerlen, Kerkrade, Simpelveld, Landgraaf and Voerendaal.
We can provide the financial support through grants, donations and gifts from organizations and individuals who care about the children of our region. In this way they contribute to a sustainable and healthy future of the region.
